2 more Air Show pics....

OOPS....I posted these wrong....if you scroll down a little you'll get the first one and then scroll back up to finish it with these two pictures...sorry! :) You can sort of see Josh and I under the C-17....it was giving us much needed shade!!! There were a couple of these on the flight line and they were all from McGuire AFB. The majority of the friends we know flying these are at McGuire now so we thought they might possibly be there...but, it was a different squadron. Oh well, it was still fun to finally see up close what they fly!! I really enjoyed watching these guys jump!!

This first picture is just the base Operations building right on the flight line...plus, there was a tiny arch on the lawn and no, that's not me standing next to the stroller.

The second picture is of the thousands of people looking at the planes and there is one flying straight up on the upper right hand side.

This one is of a C-5...A couple of our really good friends fly these....it's the biggest thing there is, I think! We didn't walk all the way out there(it was way too hot) but I think you can see people standing next to it and then realize how massive it is.

How cool is this last picture...this was the first thing we saw....it's pretty cool...I can't remember what the specific name is and Eric isn't here at the moment...but, it looked fake to me at first!! :) Scroll down for 2 more pictures...

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY JOSHUA!!!

So, to pick up where I left off from the last post....Everything seemed ok for a couple of days in there after that weekend. We were excited because Josh's birthday was coming up(and mine too) :) However, the Thursday before mine, Eric got sick! Between being around Josh and I and in the hospital and clinic....I was actually surprised he lasted as long as he did. So, he ended up being in bed for 2 days....one of which was a saturday. This is important you see because that Friday night before, Josh was up all night crying. I was exhausted, and Josh was exhausted, but Eric couldn't really help and he didn't need to be around Josh anyways being sick.....So, that same saturday morning I had to take Josh back to the doctor. He was doing the standard 'tug on the ears.' But, again, it was on the weekend.....why do kids get sick on the weekend and not during the week?? Anyways, I had to figure out if I take him on base to the clinic there, or to the urgent care off base, or back to the ER......what I ended up having to do was get a referrel to the urgent care off base.(I still had to go the the clinic on base to get that referrel and we couldn't be helped there because that saturday morning there were no doctors at the clinic on the base....I won't get started on all of that)..... Anyways....we were at the urgent care center for about 2 1/2 hours and got some antibiotics for his double ear infection. The kicker, in all of this, is the previous weekend at the ER had so traumatized Josh that he even sees a nurse or let alone a stethoscope...he erupts into hysterics, turns red, starts sweating, and pushes everyone away!! Quite fun, really....no, not really..... The thing is, when we were at the ER the previous weekend, Eric was there and was able to hold Josh down and help the doctors/nurses out....but he wasn't here this time and Josh was fighting even more. It took me holding his legs, the nurse holding his arms, and the doctor holding his head...just to look in his ears!! It's so sad..and I'm holding back tears for the poor guy and well, I don't think Josh and I could have been more exhausted at that time!! Needless to say, again, everything was just fine....I had thought the weekend before was exhausting, but atleast I was somewhat rested then and had Eric to help out....this time, it was just me, mentally and physically tired, with Josh....oh, and my birthday was the next day!! (not that my birthday is a big deal or anything! HA!) :) Oh, I can laugh(sort of) about it now, but I had never been so overwhelmed. After all that and my birthday was actually a very nice one....it was Josh's birthday!!! I'm posting the link to his album because there are too many to put up here! It was a success...the McCarthys came over, we had cupcakes, and opened up all of Josh's presents!!
