A boy and his truck...

Ok...this is a 3 post series.....I had alot of pictures and some video and well...since baby #2 will be here soon...I needed to get these going so I wouldn't be so "back-blogged"...HA....so that means keep scrolling down for the 3 posts... It is definitely spring here now and we have been having so much fun getting re-acquainted with the outdoor toys!!! There is a new addition....Josh's Tonka truck...it's normally an 'inside' toy, but that was in the winter and now it's an 'outdoor' toy and a 'basement' toy!! Who knew he could have so much fun with it...

Last summer we had new next door neighbors move in and we are so thankful for them!! They have an almost 2 year old little boy and a 5 month old boy(seriously?!, the last 5 months flew by)...anyways, Josh and Andrew have become good friends! So much so that Josh has shared his truck with Andrew! The other evening we were all out and Josh would push Andrew(had to do it by himself without dad) and then dad and Andrew would push Josh back up. It was fun to watch...they really are so entertaining...

This first video Josh is saying, "I'm coming mama, I'm coming!"

Oh..and then you hear my loud voice(just to warn you) :)

If you have your volume up you can hear Josh tell Eric, "No dad, No..." because he didn't want any help... :)

This is Josh telling us that it's his turn and please help Andrew get up!! :) The last video, Peter(Andrew's dad) had just gotten home and came outside....Josh was telling him what they were doing and Andrew had just realized that his mom wasn't outside anymore...kinda funny! :)

Josh has recently discovered his appreciation for a good hat! :) He has had several, but has taken a liking to this particular one and well, I will support whatever he chooses! HA :) He wears it backwards most of the time except for when he is in the car! So, not only does he have his favorite truck...he now has his favorite hat to go with his favorite truck!! :) He is one HAPPY boy!!!

A Little Baby 'Sprinkle'....

My dear friend, Becca, threw me and baby #2 a party! We called it a 'sprinkle' because we didn't need everything that would come with a full baby 'shower'! :)

It was so fun and we definitely got stocked up on our diapers and wipes!!! It was really a great mix of friends from the residency, our neighborhood and my Bible study!! Becca made delicious food and of course...didn't have us play any games(she knows me well)!! ;)

It's awesome to think that Becca was at our baby shower for Josh when we still lived in Toledo and now gets to be here for this little baby too!! :) She and 2 other of our friends were the first ones to meet Josh at the hospital when he was born(besides our parents)...so, it's really special to us that Becca and Jason are here at Scott AFB too!! Honestly, I don't know how Eric, Josh, and I would have survived the last year and a half without them living across the street! HA :)

The Little Dancing Man...

Josh absolutely LOVES music!! Listening, singing, dancing...anything!! Here are some videos of him entertaining us while Bryan was still here. The songs are Ants Marching by Dave Mathews and Can't Buy Me Love by the Beatles....

He does have some choreographed movements that he created by himself...sometimes they are right on the beat....other times...just a little early, or late, depending on how you look at it... :)

How could I have forgotten????

Back in the fall I bought tickets for Playhouse Disney Live! For those of you who don't currently have toddlers in the house probably don't know what that is exactly. On the Disney channel there are some show...Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Handy Manny...anyways...Josh is a fan(pretty much of just the songs/music part of the shows), but I knew I would be in my last trimester and thought it'd be fun for us to go before baby #2!

Now, it just so happened to be the same weekend that Bryan flew in for his visit. We asked him if he wanted to go and offered to buy him a ticket, but for some reason it just wasn't his thing! HA ;)

We dropped Bryan off at the Museum of Art in Forest Park and went on our way to the show. It was a ton of fun and Josh just stared at the stage. Here is a slide show of some of the pictures.

I took some video too because Josh likes to watch it on our computer....however, I won't bore you with those videos. This one video I uploaded is hard to see! :) You have to turn your head, plus it's dark, but you can see Josh smiling and clapping along with the music...

A Visit from Uncle Bryan...

Ok..so, it's been awhile...but, I think that means I have alot of posts to do, so hopefully I'll get alot done before the baby comes!! :) (wishful thinking)

Anyways, several weeks ago, Eric's brother Bryan flew out for a long weekend. It was awesome having him here and just being able to hang out with him. Josh, of course, was instantly taken...and in some of these pictures I believe they look related! HA ;)

We had a great time. We went back to the Magic House which is always a blast. We hadn't been there since their expansion opened and I can't wait to go through it all!! That weekend was also a Baby 'Sprinkle' thrown for our baby #2!! (sprinkle because I didn't want or need a full blown 'shower') :) It was more of an excuse for Becca to throw a party, have yummy food, hang out with all our friends, and get stocked up on diapers and wipes!! (these pictures will be another post entirely)!

However, it was obviously no boys allowed...so, Bryan, Eric, and Josh had their own fun day. They went down to Forest Park and the science center, had lunch at PF Chang's and then they had to take Bryan to the airport. It was a great, relaxing weekend and so fun to spend some quality time with 'Uncle Bryan!'

I didn't get many pictures...the 3 of them, well, mainly the youngest of them is not so into pictures any more...hmmmmm....I wonder why?!?!

Dr. Prom...

Every year around Valentine's Day, the hospital where Eric works, St. Elizabeth's, throws their annual ball. All of the medical staff associated with the hospital and their significant others are invited to enjoy an evening of cocktails, food, and dancing! We were not able to go last year and with the baby coming soon, I jumped at the chance to have an evening out with just Eric and I as well as having a great time with our awesome friends from the residency!! We really do feel so lucky that the other residents Eric works with(and their families) have become such good friends and are people we want to hang out with outside of his work too!! :) Anyways, this event has been given a nickname by the residents as Dr. Prom! Pretty much, that's what it is...it was a sit down dinner which was fine, but what made it great was after everyone had their dinner they opened up the back two walls of the room(it was rather dramatic) HA....anyways, it was this DELICIOUS dessert buffet. I mean, anything you could think of that you would like..especially if it was chocolate related, they had it! It was a fun time and for some reason I thought I got more pictures with everyone, but, nope I didn't. Just me and Eric and then the last one is me and Holly McCleary. She is currently 39weeks pregnant and is a wife of one of the attendings, that actually was a 3rd year resident here last year. She and her husband are great people and they also have a 2 year old son.
