A trial class at The Little Gym...

Eric and I had signed Josh up for a trial class at The Little Gym. He loves to climb and waller around so we wanted to try it out for him. It just so happened that the trial class for him was also when my parents were here. So, Eric and I both went with him and my mom took some video...it's pretty funny to us but if you haven't spent alot of time with Josh recently, there are a couple of things you should know before you watch these videos.

One is that he runs. He doesn't really 'walk' around the house...he runs. If you ever saw him crawl you know he moves fast...ever since he's been walking, it's turned into running! The first video is an example of that! Also, notice the other kids 'climbing' and using the apparatuses...not Josh, he saw a big open space and wanted to run!!! I believe Eric and I had atleast 3 different people come up to us and say with a bewildered/questionable look on their face...how old is he?he really is fast?wow, he sure likes to run! That's the other thing...Josh is a little guy and so seeing him move so fast doesn't look quite right. (push the play button twice)

He did eventually get on some of the stuff...

The next thing you need to know is that he loves rolling things....anything really. So, obviously he loves balls and stuff like that. Josh also likes 'helping' out around the house...every time he thinks he does something good, he claps!! :) But sometimes...his rolling and helping, aren't needed!!!

Again, watch for the rolling and helping....this time he influences some other little girl too...it was controlled chaos...sorta...

Finally, it was Josh's turn....I think he would have been perfectly happy pushing them around and not the other way around...wasn't too sure of the forward roll, but it still got a clap!

Overall, the experience was a positive one. We decided not to join...we go to the YMCA now instead, but I think Josh left a mark on the class. HA! He'll be remembered as 'the little runner who did his own thing!' And really, that's just fine with me!

Beginning of the year fun...

2008 started off with a visit from Nana and Papa!! Josh was so excited to see them(ok, maybe I'm projecting a little bit of me onto Josh..but, whatever)...We had a great 4 days! It was cold outside, sunny, but too cold to do anything outside...so, we stayed around Belleville and pretty much just hung out around the house. We did venture to Circuit City and got my new camera!! Very fun and I love new toys!!! :) The last day we went to our favorite breakfast place...The Pie Pantry. That's our place, 'where everybody knows your name!' :) Then we ventured into St. Louis and visited the most unique, eclectic museum I've ever been into(if you can really call it a museum) it's name is The City Museum, but, it's just bizarre...very fun though for all ages!! This first picture is Josh with Nana and Papa, the second is of the outside of the City Museum...yes, that is a bus on the roof, fire truck coming out of the building, and an airplane resting on a pillar. There are also tunnels or chutes that you crawl through...ok, I'm can't explain it, but we went there and Josh ran around...he loved it too!! Oh, I think Eric's favorite part was there is a fire pit where you can roast marshmellows...so, it also smelled really good! The third picture is after we had some snacks.

The weeks following Christmas were so much fun, but exhausting as well! After we dropped Nana and Papa off at the airport, we got home, and well....this is how Josh felt(again, maybe I'm projecting a little again!) :D)

New Year's in Cincinnati...

After our quiet little Christmas, Eric had the week of New Year's off, so, we drove to Cincinnati for 4 days and had Christmas all over again with Grandma and Grandpa(Eric's parents) and Uncle Bryan! The first picture is Josh playing with some new toys and in the background is Eric putting together Josh's new chair! In the second picture, Josh is sitting in his new red chair, enjoying some milk and watching Thomas!!

We had a really good time and actually got to go out for New Year's Eve!! We left Josh in the care of his grandparents and went to our friends' house, Pat and Madeline. Ate an excellent dinner and then met up with some more friends in downtown Cincinnati. We pretty much stayed in one club call McFadden's, but we had an awesome time!! I was actually out with Eric until 2 or so in the morning...I don't know when the last time we were up that late on purpose!! :)

So, these were taken at the beginning of the evening...me and Madeline and Madeline and Pat...Eric was there too...I promise!! :) My camera fell apart this night and so my pictures are limited!! :) However....when my parents came to visit the next week...I got a Christmas present(a new camera)...so, more pictures...and better ones too...(I hope!!)...are coming!! :)
