Welcome to the Island of Sodor....

Ok...if you recognize the title of this blog...you'll know what this is all about...Thomas the Tank Engine of course!!! We recently went to visit, play, and ride with Thomas. He came to St. Louis and since he is one of Josh's favorites, we had to go say hello!! :) We were a little unsure about how Josh would respond to everything, but we went at 8:30am, which is his best time of day(and Eric's). Our departure time for a ride on Thomas was at 9:30am and we had an awesome time!! We spent 2 1/2 hours meeting Sir Topham Hat, playing with 5 different train tables, going through the gift shop, going through the hay maze, story time, video time, and finally...meeting Thomas!! I have to say the only thing that Josh completely freaked out in was the massive ball pit! Who knew?? He wouldn't even move, started screaming, and looked at us like we just hurt one of The Wiggles!! Overall, it was a success and Josh(even though he probably won't remember it) had a fantastic time!! Pictures with Sir Topham Hat...this was right when we walked in(which was through a big bubble maker machine....it was so cool)) Anyways, Josh wouldn't stop staring at the big guy...
He spots all the trains...
Oh yeah, this was a litte train ride they had for the kids...no parents...and Josh, again, thought it was the best thing ever!! Such a big boy!! HA :)
Eric holding Josh when he sees Thomas up close!! Woohoo!!
Me putting Josh on the wood block to get a picture...he wouldn't turn around at all..Josh seriously just kept talking and pointing to Thomas...it was so cute...
Ok, we got him once...and it looks to me like he's bending over because he just couldn't handle it!! :)
Choo Choo!!
So Happy!
Look...at something...oh, we're moving!!
going by downtown along the river and by the arch
hangin on mom
watching another little kid..
Snack time, story time, and video time...his favorite times!!
they had all these bean bags which Josh made himself at home on during the video...he tried several different ones...
But, at story time...he was very engaged..
see...on the edge of his seat!!
Now, here are some videos of the day too...

You have to tilt your head...sorry...but this is trying to take a picture of Josh and forgetting that I was in video mode...oh well, but..it's a cute short video!! (at the very end you can hear him say..cheeeeeeseeee!)

The long goodbye....(to Thomas)..oh, and if you are familiar with sign language...he does the sign for thank you twice towards the end...it's putting his hand to his chin!

Ok...one more video..this is out of order, but you have to notice what Josh does while everyone else is waving to Thomas...sometimes food is just more important!!
