One of my best friends got married recently in Marfa, Tx.!! So, Eric, Josh, myself, and Josh's wonderful Nana(my mom) made the trip to be there for her and her wonderful family!! :) Josh, Eric, and myself flew in a day early so that we could spend a night with my grandmother...Momma C...in Midland. It was so nice and quite refreshing too! The whole time we were there it was very surreal watching Josh run around and play in the same places I did at that age!!
It was quite a trip. After our brief, but great visit in Midland we picked up Nana at the airport and drove 3 hours to our bed and breakfast..the Veranda...in Ft. Davis, Tx. It didn't take too long to get there, but once we did...it felt like we were in a different country!!(that's a good thing)!! Our drive from the flat lands of Midland to the Davis Mountains.

The Veranda was our first bed and breakfast experience together and the rooms were large, decorated with turn of the century Victorian furniture....the kicker was that there was no telephone or t.v. in any of the rooms!! Our cell phone coverage was better than we thought, but we were pretty cut off from the 'rest of the world' for the whole weekend! We all enjoyed it more than I think we thought we would!! My mom and I had a fun time exploring the streets or one main street of Ft. Davis! We became known regulars at the one local coffee shop and Eric was able to spend most his time with Josh!!
The wedding was beautiful and it was so special to be there and be apart of it all!! We had more pictures and so here's the link to the album...Lauren's Wedding
